Interoperable Linear Slot Therma-Fuser (EL)
The Acutherm EL is an interoperable linear slot VAV diffuser with a built-in DDC controller, temperature and flow sensors, and an electric motorized damper. It communicates using native BACnet™ protocols, giving the BAS real-time visibility into room load, supply air temperature, and air volume at each diffuser while providing quiet, precise zone-level comfort control.

Features
- Brushless DC stepper motor directly drives the damper via threaded shaft and linkage (no gearbox) for long life.
- Venturi-driven induction chamber continuously samples secondary room air over the room temperature sensor.
- “Expert system” control evaluates temperature every 10 seconds and adjusts flow — no PID tuning required.
- Ships in the open position so systems can be balanced before network and power are connected.
Cooling & Heating Modes
- Cooling mode: Blades open on a rise in room temperature to deliver more cool air.
- Heating mode: Operation reverses — blades close on a rise in room temperature.
- Auto mode: Selected automatically by comparing supply air temperature with room temperature and setpoint.
Accessories & Options
- Internal Insulation: FF — internal insulation liner.
- Ceiling Frames: APF (hard ceiling frame), TG916 (tegular 9/16″ T-bar).
EL diffusers report room temperature, supply air temperature, and airflow to the BAS. Separate setpoints per occupancy mode (Occupied, Unoccupied, Standby).
